Savannah Jazz Educational Program – Jazz 101

Jazz 101 with Ulysses Owens
In this one-hour workshop, Ulysses will be joined by his dynamic group as they take you on an interactive journey through the evolution of jazz music from its inception in New Orleans (Congo Square) up through the introduction of Bebop.
Tours of the Savannah Jazz History Exhibit from 2:30 – 3:20 and the presentation in the theatre at 3:30- 4:30.
Savannah History Museum in the Visitor Center at 303 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Students FREE with ID but need to RSVP through Eventbrite
