Patriot Day Run

Join us as we partner with the City of Savannah for this year’s Patriot Day Run, a 5K Memorial Run that will take place at Forsyth Park in downtown Savannah.
Event Timeline:
- 0630-0730 Registration/Packet Pick-Up/Gear Check Opens
- 0738 First Responders in Full Gear to Begin Race
- 0800 Runners Begin Race
- 0805 Run/Walkers Begin Race
- 0810 Formations Begin Race
- 0815 Walkers Begin Race
Registration includes a custom medal, bib, shirt. Runner packets can be picked up on 6 September at Daffin Park during The Night of Honor event (packet pick-up event) or on race day at 6:30am.

Note: Prior to 31 Aug, additional event shirts can be purchased for $15.
Running with a UNIT?
If you are running with your unit, please make sure to indicate which unit you are with on your registration form.Units, please have your POC contact the event coordinator to let us know your unit is running together.

This year’s Patriot Day Run shirts are inspired by the Thin Line Flags that represent the military, firefighters, police, EMS, and dispatch. Race participants are welcome to select their preferred shirt with their registration packet. Additional shirts are available for purchase if a participant would like to purchase different colors.

Gear Check-In:
Gear check will be available for anyone wishing to check-in items during the race. Please affix your gear check tag (on your bib number) to your clear gear bag before you leave it at the table.
We ask that you DO NOT leave valuables, cash or jewelry in your bag. Please note: There may be lines due to security checks.
Checked items may be picked up after the race.

- Suitcases and rolling bags
- Flammable liquids, aerosols, fuels, fireworks or explosives
- Inline or quad roller skates, skateboards, or bicycles
- Pets/animals
- Vulgar or obscene flags, banners, signs, or clothing/attire
First aid (How and where to get it):
First Aid will be available at the MWR information tent located at the finish line. A trail vehicle will be on the course to render help to any runner on the course needing aid. Additional EMS will be onsite.
What things should I NOT bring?

What can I bring?
- Comfortable running attire and shoes
- Cell phone for amazing photo opportunities
- Your race bib and pins you received at packet pick up
- Sunscreen, hydration system, protection from chafing, weather appropriate jacket
Can my dog participate?
While we love our four legged friends, all animals, that are not service animals, are not permitted during this run. Sorry, I know this one hurts.
Is this a stroller-friendly race?
YES – We want to see you out there with your kiddos!
What age must purchase ticket?
Children may participate but are not require a purchased ticket. Please note: Medals/bibs/shirts will not be provided unless they have a paid registration.
Will there be restrooms? What about water points?
There are no restrooms on the course. Restrooms can be used before and after the race in Forsyth park. One water station will be located on the course in Ellis Square.
I am not able to make it to Race Packet Pick-Up. What do I do?
Packet pick up will still be available the morning of the race 6:30 am – 7:30 am.
If am injured, pregnant, or no longer able to attend the race, can I get a refund?
All refund requests can be processed through Eventbrite before event day. Please provide a reason for refund request and will respond or call for further clarifying questions.
Can I give/sell my number to another runner?

Is this a timed race?
No, there is no official timing of this race.
Is there anything to do after the race?
Please feel free to shop around and browse the farmers market in Forsyth Park or any other amazing thing the city has to offer.
Is the packet pick up only for those who have a packet or can anyone enjoy the event?
Anyone can join the packet pick up event. Please bring your friends and family to come with you.

We are looking for individuals or groups who are enthusiastic and want to cheer on the runners!

If you cannot make it to the Night of Honor to pick up your registration packet, please be sure to arrive at the race location (Forsyth Park) between 6:30am-7:30am to receive your packet.
We recommend parking at the Eastern Wharf Garage and taking FREE DOT Transportation to the Forsyth Park. Be aware that streets will be blocked off for the Race.
