Dig Ossabaw Island: Hands On Archaeological Day Trip

Spend the morning learning about Ossabaw Island and her ancient people by exploring what is underground.
Assist with digging, sifting, sorting, washing and bagging archaeological finds. Led by the Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources’ Archaeology Division and the University of Pennsylvania , this excavation of a Late Woodland, Early Mississippian period Native American site at Middle School.
Trip is organized and hosted by the Ossabaw Island Foundation.
